Wilco Farmers Co-op, along with DBA Hazelnut Growers of Oregon (HGO), has agreed to terms of a settlement with Andrew Halls, LLC, DBA Pacific Hazelnut Farms, on the lawsuit commenced by Halls on May 22, 2020.
After constructive discussions and negotiation, both parties agreed to suitable terms and conditions, effective immediately. While the agreement includes non-disclosure requirements precluding releasing detail of the settlement, Sam Bugarsky, CEO at Wilco stated, “after a candid and cordial discussion around our common goals, we were able to agree on terms that work for both companies, and benefit the hazelnut industry.” He added, “I think I can speak for Andrew that both parties regret we weren’t able to come to an agreement sooner.”
When asked about the agreement, Andrew says, “It has been a pleasure working with Sam and we are looking forward to working with Wilco Farmers Co-op going forward”. The path ahead for both Wilco and Pacific Hazelnuts is focused on the future growth and success of the hazelnut industry.
