Wilco Named Among Top Workplaces Again in 2013 by The Oregonian commissioned independent research firm WorkplaceDynamics LLC

As published in The Oregonian’s article by Scott Nelson on September 11th, Wilco, the largest supply cooperative in the Pacific Northwest, was named among the top workplaces in Oregon and Southwest Washington for 2013. The Oregonian invited 1,070 companies to participate through confidential employee surveys managed by a third party, WorkplaceDynamics. Of those, 138 companies agreed to have more than 43,500 employees available for surveys.

Wilco first participated last year in 2012 and fell into the top 10 for mid-sized companies. Again in 2013, Wilco was named a Top Workplace and placed in the top 6 with other top tier workplaces like Kimpton Hotels, The Barbers, Northwest Mortgage Group, and DoubleTree by Hilton.

“We’re proud to be a Top Workplace and thank our employees for their participation. We value our team’s feedback as we look for opportunities to better serve each other, our customers and communities.”

Doug Hoffman, Wilco President & CEO.

Other employee quotes from the survey:

“Wilco management is willing to listen to ideas and past experiences. They are not afraid to try adjusting a few things.”

“It (Wilco) is an honest place to work.”

“I am not just a faceless employee. The management teams take the time to meet all of us & ask for our feedback.”

Wilco operates 23 locations from Gig Harbor, WA to Springfield, OR, and is headquartered in Mount Angel, OR. Wilco serves customers through three core business units; Retail Farm Stores, Agribusiness, and Fuel Services.
